School Introduction:

Mellong American School is an English training center with a focus on teaching young learners who are planning or preparing to study abroad in the future. Our school uses materials from the U.S. We use additional TOEFL materials for those preparing for TOEFL examinations. Our teaching hours are weekday evenings and weekends.   

Job Title:

English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher.(Full-Time), only American, Canadian and British

Age Range:

Students range between 7 to 16 years old.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

l  Plan, prepare, and teach well developed lessons which enthuse and inspire students, and promote enjoyment of learning.

l  Provide instruction that is consistent and coordinated with the school’s instructional program so as to ensure that students meet and exceed learning targets.

l  Develop and deliver lessons that utilize a broad range of appropriate teaching techniques and strategies.

l  Administer academic and language assessments for the purpose of evaluating student progress for meeting academic learning targets and progress in language acquisition.

l  Provide a nurturing and supportive learning environment that encourages student responsibility and incorporates challenging instructional strategies.

l  Establish and maintain standards of student behavior required to run an orderly and productive classroom environment.

Experience:

l  Minimum of one year teaching experience to young learners aged between 5-15 years old.

Education Requirements:

l  Successful applicant must have a bachelors degree or equivalent (preferably in field related to education).

l  Successful applicant must have TEFL, TESOL or equivalent certification.

Terms of Employment and Benefits:

l  Contract duration is a minimum of 12 months (Oct 2018 - Sept 2019).

l  Teachers will be required to teach between 20 to 24 periods per week (45 minutes per class).

l  Holidays include all national holidays.

l  Round-trip flight reimbursement upon completion of contract.

l  Other benefits will be discussed during interview process.
